OFA Hips & Elbows – Iris Results

As they say, it’s a “Good Bones” day for Iris!

The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals is a third-party non-profit organization that evaluates x-rays for evidence of joint dysplasia. For Drents, it’s recommended that both Hips and Elbows are evaluated.

Hips can be scored passing in three different grades (Excellent, Good, or Fair) or failing in three different grades (Mild, Moderate, or Severe). Elbows are graded as either Normal (passing) or Grade I, II, or III in increasing severity for failing.

Iris has been graded by the OFA as having “Good” hips and “Normal” elbows!!

While there was never a reason to worry, it’s wonderful to have confirmation that her joints are healthy and will be able to keep up with our active lifestyle.

Iris’s OFA results can be found HERE, as well as certifications below!
